Every sitting leaves body oils, skin cells and perspiration in the fabric and the foam underneath — and unlike carpet, a couch never gets a proper vacuum between cleans. Add the kids, the dog, one or two coffee spills and a few humid Highlands summers, and the dust that comes out of a lounge when we clean it surprises people every time.
Almost every couch we clean is booked for one of two reasons: it has started to smell, or it has started to look tired, flat and slightly grey. Both have the same cause — soil that has worked its way past the surface of the fabric and into the pile.

Our technicians identify a fabric before a single drop of anything touches it — and pre-test in a spot you will never notice.
Synthetic Weaves
Polyester, acrylic and blended weaves make up most modern lounges. They respond beautifully to Hot Carbonating Extraction and often come up looking close to new.
Wool and Wool Blends
Wool is far more sensitive to moisture and pH than synthetics. A low-moisture process and pH-balanced solutions clean the fibre instead of soaking or stripping it.
Cotton, Linen and Textured Weaves
Chenille, loose weaves and heavy textures hold soil deep in the pile. These get a gentler pre-treatment and a slower pass over every panel.
Pale and Delicate Colours
Cream, ivory and pale grey lounges show every mark — and every mistake. These are tested in an inconspicuous spot, on your couch, before we begin.

Inspection and Fabric Test
We check the care label, identify the fabric and pre-test our solution somewhere you will never see, so there are no surprises on a pale lounge.
Dry Soil Removal
Before anything gets wet, the couch is vacuumed properly — under the cushions and down the back — to lift out the dry soil that causes most of the dullness.
Pre-Treatment
A pre-treatment is sprayed on and worked into the hand and head areas first. Those are the two spots people always point to when we arrive.
Hot Carbonating Extraction
The whole piece is cleaned using our patented carbonated process. The bubbles lift soil to the surface where it is extracted away — no soaking, no soapy film left behind.
Fabric Protection
Optional, and worth it on a lounge the family actually sits on. A protective barrier goes over the fibres so the next spill sits on top rather than sinking in.
Final Check and Drying
We walk the result through with you before we pack up and re-treat anything that needs another pass. Low moisture means the couch is back in use the same day.
